The approach is part of the climb, and the La Sportiva TX Guide Approach Shoe was built to handle both without asking you to compromise on either. It sits in the middle of La Sportiva’s TX lineup, offering more stability than the lighter TX3 and TX2 while staying noticeably lighter than the burlier TX4, making it the right call for long mountain days that mix trail miles with technical scrambling and route climbing.

The Ultra-Weave jacquard upper delivers breathability and durability in equal measure, reinforced with TPU overlays and toe and heel caps that defend against the abrasion that comes with rock contact. Underfoot, a dual-density compressed EVA midsole pairs with a TPU Torsion Shank for stability on uneven ground, and the combination of Vibram Mega-Grip and IdroGrip rubber gives the sole confident purchase on both dry and wet rock surfaces. The Impact Brake System lug pattern adds downhill control on the descent when legs are tired and terrain is steep. This shoe runs narrow and fits best on low-volume feet. Sizing up at least half a size is strongly recommended.
