Built for powder days and everything in between, the Dinghy Snowboard floats wide and rides everywhere
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying
“The Dinghy is one of those boards that makes powder days feel effortless. The tapered directional shape and wide nose do the float work for you, and camber profile keeps it snappy and locked in when you come back to the groomers. It’s nimble for a wide board.”
Who It’s For
Intermediate to Advanced Riders Who Prioritize Powder and Versatility:
The Dinghy suits riders who chase soft snow but still want a board that performs on groomed runs and in variable backcountry terrain. It’s a strong choice for those building out a quiver or looking for a single board that can handle most conditions without feeling like a compromise on hardpack.
What It’s For
Powder-Forward All-Mountain and Backcountry Riding:
The Dinghy is optimized for soft snow: deep powder, low-angle tree runs, and open backcountry terrain. But the camber profile and progressive sidecut keep it functional on groomers. It’s not a park board, but it handles everything outside the park with confidence.
Why We Like It
A Powder Tool with a Serious Sustainability Commitment:
The tapered directional shap distributes float evenly through soft snow while keeping the tail easy to pivot in tight spots. Trüe Camber adds pop and edge-hold that most powder-specific shapes sacrifice, making this board genuinely versatile. The Powercore II pairs tip-to-tail poplar with beech wood stringers for added strength and a livelier, more responsive feel than poplar alone. On the sustainability side, Nitro goes further here than on most of their lineup: Ecopoxy33 is a bio-based epoxy resin that reduces the board’s carbon footprint, the Ecoguard Topsheet uses 90% recycled materials, the Sintered EcoSpeed HD Base is built from a recycled compound, and the whole board is finished with a natural wax. Combined with FSC-certified wood, 50% recycled steel edges, and solar-powered manufacturing, this is one of the more thoroughly considered builds in the range.
